Review Summary:

Pretoxx can be considered a senios anti-hangover supplement since it's been on the market for quite awhile now. With solid dosages of active ingredients and mediocre reviews, many people are considering opting for it. But should they? It's a fairly cheap product so why not give it a go? Well, there's more to it than meets the eye at first glance...

Night where you have gone a bit too far has happened to all of us. Most of the time consuming too much alcohol makes you have a great time, but also has a major downside when it comes to the day after. Nutritionists lately came up with an idea on how to prevent such a problem. Luckily for all of us their mission was successful and today you have plenty hangover pills to chose from. Despite being created with a similar ingredients they differ significantly when it comes to efficiency.

In this review we will be taking a look at one of those products called PreToxx. It costs only 20$ bucks, and is a great choice for that price. However, if you are willing to spend few extra bucks we suggest taking a look at 1st Phorm's Remedy, which is by many considered to be the absolute champion when it comes to supplements of these type.

Pretoxx supplement facts

On the first look it has all the right compounds to help you feel better and minimize hangover effects on your mind and body.

Pretoxx ingredients

Particularly B1 (Thiamine), B6 and B12, play a key role in the body’s metabolic function and can significantly dip down when excessive amounts of alcohol are ingested. These water-soluble vitamins also help prevent an upset stomach and bloating when you’ve had too much to drink the night before.

Also known as NAC, is a type of antioxidant that helps ensure that the system’s reserves of glutathione are up to par. Glutathione, a tripeptide formed from glutamic acid, not only helps keep the liver in tiptop shape, but also safeguards its ability to efficiently get rid of toxins like alcohol.

Prickly Pear Extract (NOPAL)

Derived from the prickly pear cactus (Opuntia fuliginosa) and has been seen in clinical studies to prevent a number of hangover effects like loss of appetite, nausea and dry mouth. Interestingly, medical tests also show that prickly pear extract can also keep diarrhea, colitis as well as some viral infections at bay.

Milk Thistle Extract

Silybum marianum  is sourced from a type of European thistle and has been traditionally used as herbal liver support for a very long time already. Medical studies reveal that the seeds of the milk thistle plant can protect liver cells from several toxins, especially those from alcohol and mushroom poisoning.

Electrolyte Blend

Comprised of manganese, potassium, sodium chloride, magnesium and calcium, which are the most common electrolytes lost whenever the body metabolizes a more than usual amount of alcohol that it can handle at one time.

All in all formula looks pretty decent. Besides few doses that could have been done better we don't see any major flaw. It is good at what it does, and if you can't go over 20$ bucks in any case, this is the product you should seriously consider.

Are there certain side effects that could be caused by Pretoxx?

We haven't found many side effect reports on this one, but it is mostly up to the fact it isn't as popular as some other products and the risk with these pills is very low. Despite being recognized as safe it can cause you some troubles such as nausea, headache, or diarrhea.

“It didn't make me feel awesome next day, but definitely had some impact on the first use. On the second use however I didn't experience almost anything, feeling even worse than usual considering the amount of wine I drank.”

Pretoxx Reviews – Is there anything useful?

Most of the customers seemed to enjoy it. Pretoxx is definitely capable of doing you some good and providing a relatively normal day after a long night partying. Check out the comments yourself:

“These pills achieved the unimaginable. When we were roommates and would have parties at our house way too often, we would stop by the same quickie mart after work. It wasn't uncommon for my friend to still be hung over from the night before, so much so that the clerk began to call him “Mr. Hangover.” Case in point. They are a thing of the past for him.”

“This product fills in what alcohol strips out of your body, thus reducing or even eliminating hangover symptoms. Worth the price, I take it even when I don't drink.”

“The product works as others have suggested very well. I was able to have the ability to drink very heavy on a few occasions and woke up the next morning feeling a bit tired as expected but had no shakes, dizziness, headaches, or body aches as I normally would have had. I have been suggesting it to all my friends.”

But, perhaps these few reviews don't show the full picture of Pretoxx. There are issues with it, as there are with any other supplement on the market. However, Pretoxx seems especially prone to them. Here are several reviews gathered during the last couple of days. They're bound to tell you more about the issues I'm referring to:

Pretoxx Review

  • Helps replenish lost electrolytes
  • Optimizes the liver's detoxifying function
  • Staves off an upset stomach and bloating
  • Prevents nausea appetite loss and dry mouth

  • There are more efficient alternatives
  • Not enough people have yet tested it for a fair judgment

Final thoughts…

Although it does you some good, and helps you feel better day after a hard night partying, PreToxx could have been done better. It is made of all the right parts, with most of the ingredients found within being well dosed. It also has a positive impact on the way your body reacts to alcohol, but we definitely think 1st Phorms Remedy has the edge over it, and is a better choice for only couple of more bucks.

Check out Remedy instead for much better results!

What's the best alternative to Pretoxx?

At the moment, there are more than few awesome hangover support products available on the market. They all share similar formulas as well as price tags. However, there is one that seems to stand out from the bunch. It's called Remedy and is manufactured and sold by 1st Phorm – a very popular name in the supplement industry. It possesses an innovative formula with an amazing number of vitamins and other supporting ingredients. Moreover, users seem to greatly appreciate it which doesn't seem to be the case with Pretoxx.

Vitamins and Minerals

It may seem silly to some, but vitamins and minerals are actually playing a key part in the way your body recovers from alcohol.

What Is It Supposed To Do?

Besides being great for overall health and longevity, and serving a wide array of critical roles, some vitamins and minerals are known for having a good impact on your hangovers. B Vitamins and Magnesium are the leaders in this category and have been known for this for ages.

Clinical Research

Within numerous clinical studies on these nutrients are the few that analyze their effects on alcohol-related side effects. [1]

N-Acetyl L-Cysteine

If you don't see this one on the label of a product that claims to solve hangover problems, make sure to look somewhere else.

What Is It Supposed To Do?

This amino acid is currently one of the best options when it comes alcohol recovery, as it treats your liver with care and protection. And for all of you that don't know it liver is crucial organ when dealing with problems like this one.

Clinical Research

There have been more than few clinical studies on this topic. [2]

Side Effects

Condition in which you are experiencing pain in the head without any external force causing it in that particular moment.

What Causes Headache?

More than few compounds on the list can have such an impact on the customer.

A feeling of sickness in the stomach area often resulting in an urge to vomit.

What Causes Nausea

N-Acetyl L-Cysteine can in some cases cause this side effect.

How much does Pretoxx cost?

Pretoxx is actually a fairly cheap product. A couple of years ago its price was set at over $20. Nowadays, you can even get it for less than $20 if you stumble upon a good deal. In normal conditions, I reckon you'll end up paying somewhere around the $20-mark.

Does it really work?

With a handfull of vitamins and known anti-hangover ingredients such as N-ACetyl L-Cysteine and Milk Thistle Extract, there's no doubt in the effectiveness of this one. However, the quality control doesn't seem to be at the highest levels since a lot of users have been complaining about the lack of all positive effects. So, if you don't like to gamble with your money, perhaps it would be a good idea to go for an alternative supplement.

What's the best alternative choice?

As far as alternatives are concerned, I already mentioned the best one somewhere about. Of course, I am referring to Remedy by 1st Phorm. It's a marvelous hangover support supplement with a much better formula. It's slightly pricier than Pretoxx but definitely worth the price!
