Alpha Gx7 is a Pre-Workout manufactured by The Original Alpha. It is designed to help provide a pre-training advantage by increasing mental focus, muscle performance, endurance and blood flow. This creates an environment optimal for increasing muscle mass and losing body fat.
If you're comparing this to any other pre – workouts you might find this one is fairly basic, but basically, means it has only a limited amount of ingredients so you don’t have to worry about any bad stuff going into your body. Most of the ingredients are quite clean and good for the body.
Normally though the more well – known or popular pre – workouts all differ from each other slightly by adding something special or different, like a lot have some form of creatine as a blend to give a better pump, faster recovery and to increase strength and power, or they might have some kind of explosive energy formula, cutting formula, something with a bigger bite than just its bark.
What is Alpha GX7?
GX7 is brought to you by the good folks of The Original Alpha. They claim it to be the “Most Powerful Pre – Workout Powder” like every other pre-workout we’ve reviewed. Unfortunately, plenty of them fail. We think Alpha GX7 has potential, though. Formula notes:
Clean label: Not much fluff or fairy dusting. There’s also transparency which always improves a good rep.
Research Backed: The site claims to have done its homework and the supplement facts seem to agree with them.
Consumption warning: They say not to exceed two scoops per day. Sounds dangerous and danger makes us feel like excited.
Now, let’s take a look at what’s really going on this product based on the customer feedbacks, what is the breakdown of ingredients and also if there are any side effects.
Ingredients list of GX7
The supplement facts are clean, focused, and transparent so we’ll give them a high-five on that one. Because of their transparency, we get to see what we need to see. Right now we’re looking at a pre workout formula that hits a lot of the right notes and uses some of the best PWOs known to bros… but also skimps on dosages in a couple of key places. Let’s break down the ingredients in Alpha GX7:
- Beta Alanine as CarnoSyn. The premium form of the tingling-causing muscle endurance booster Beta Alanine.
- Arginine is the precursor to nitric oxide (NO) production and NO serves to encourage pumps. This form of Arginine is the most bioavailable of all forms. Dosage is OK, but we’d rather see AAKG in the range of 2-3 g. Perhaps they were aiming for synergy with our next ingredient.
- Citrulline Malate: The best ingredient when it comes to boosting NO. It also helps nourish muscles during training and boost recovery after, making it a staple pre-workout.
- L-Carnitine. Carnitine is known for exercise recovery benefits but it also shows a bit of fat burning as a side benefit. Dosage at 750 mg seems minimal since most studies used at least 2 g for clinical effectiveness.
- Mucuna Pruriens. Standardized for 20% which is pretty good for a T-boosting ingredient. It also helps boost mood and focus by increasing Dopamine and Noradrenaline. Dosage is really good.
- Taurine acts as an antioxidant for the brain but works in synergy with arginine as a NO booster. Dosage-wise, 400 mg is good for a nootropic but is likely too small for a good NO boost.
- Caffeine belongs to our top list of fat burners but caffeine is mostly known for boosting energy which is something Alpha GX7 has a lot of at 250 mg.
- It acts as a heart health booster and acts a little bit like caffeine if only to act as a cardiac stimulant. Dosage looks mild for its effect to be even noticed.
- Yohimbine HCL. Yohimbine is the active compound found in Yohimbe, a common ingredient found in supplements. It functions as a fat burner and may even boost mood and focus due to the way it releases adrenaline.
Side effects of Alpha GX7
The most common side effect would be the tingling sensation brought on by Beta Alanine and the other NO boosters but some users actually see this as a sign of effectiveness. Jitters and crashing could occur due to Caffeine content. If you’re sensitive to the ‘FEINE and want to take it, consider taking it with a nootropic stack that includes L-Theanine to offset the shakes and manic energy.

Although the ingredients found in GX7 are almost as similar to what the other brands in this category have, its formulation seems to have an added kick. It is still advised to take the recommended daily dose to avoid the side effects targeting the nervous system. There are also a handful of positive user reviews for this pre-workout supplement.
With the price at an affordable range, GX7 looks like a good buy.

Alpha GX-7 Pre-Workout may increase focus and energy levels, but many of the non-stimulant performance enhancing ingredients are under-dosed. So, if energy or focus is your only concern, go for this product!

BETA-ALANINE. Most studies have used doses of Beta-Alanine ranging from 3-6g daily, but doses as low as 1.6g daily are still effective in the long run. In some people, Beta-Alanine supplementation may cause a sensation known as Paresthesia. Taking Beta-Alanine in small doses several times throughout the day is the best way to avoid Paresthesia.
ARGININE ALPHA-KETOGLUTARATE. Arginine is an amino acid which serves as a precursor to Nitric Oxide. For this reason, it is generally included in pre-workout supplements as a means of enhancing blood flow and encouraging pumps.
CITRULLINE MALATE. Citrulline is a precursor to Arginine but is actually much more effective. In a sense, Citrulline is what Arginine “should” be. It has been shown to enhance muscular endurance and also has benefits pertaining to exercise recovery.
L-CARNITINE. Carnitine is an amino acid with antioxidant properties. These properties are what gives Carnitine it’s exercise recovery benefits. Carnitine, in various forms, has been shown to reduce oxidative damage resulting from exercise and increase muscle oxygenation.
MUCUNA PRURIENS. Studies investigating any type of performance enhancement as a result of Mucuna Pruriens are non-existent, so we won’t comment there. In reality, it probably doesn’t do much, but some marginal benefit can’t be ruled out.
L-TAURINE. Taurine is a unique amino acid with antioxidant properties which make Taurine supplementation an effective means of enhancing exercise recovery. Although Taurine has been shown to slightly enhance exercise performance, these effects are unreliable. Some studies note benefit, others fail.
CAFFEINE. Caffeine generally forms the basis for the energy/focus component of stimulant pre-workout supplements. This is because it triggers the release of neurotransmitters such as Noradrenaline which induce a state of focus and perceived (mental) energy.
THEOBROMINE. Theobromine is a chemical relative to Caffeine, belonging to the class of compounds known as Xanthines. Unlike Caffeine, however, Theobromine is not psychoactive. It is a cardiac stimulant but isn’t going to provide “focus and energy” in the same way Caffeine does.
YOHIMBINE HCL. Yohimbine is a potent stimulant which happens to be an effective fat-burner when dosed correctly. Beyond facilitating fat-loss, Yohimbine may improve mood and perceived energy levels in some people via the release of Adrenaline/Noradrenaline.
SIDE EFFECTS INFORMATION
Alpha GX-7 Pre-Workout does contain a few stimulants, most notably Caffeine and Yohimbine, the combination of which may be a bit intense for some individuals. In others, it may be well-tolerated though so there is nothing inherently “dangerous” about either of these compounds.
The key is to start with a low dose to assess tolerance, then decide whether or not to increase it based on how you handle it.

The ingredient profile is great, but the dosing of each individual ingredient leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, none of the physically effective performance enhancing ingredients in Alpha GX-7 are dosed clinically. That is, they aren’t present in the amounts that have been used in the scientific studies in which they proved effective, so similar results are far from guaranteed.
At multiple servings, you may get clinically effective doses, but keep in mind the price per serving doubles if you double-dose every time your workout.
